Traditional Fishermans Cottage in the heart of Mumbles. A stones throw away from the seafront, shops, pubs, restaurants and local amenities. A relaxing, cosy home, with a log burner, with beautiful views of Swansea Bay from the terraces. Enter the cottage into living room, lovely view of the castle through the barn door window, especially at night when the castle is lit up There is a downstairs bedroom off the living room with two single beds. Upon request when making your booking, the singles can be converted into a double bed. There is a walk in en suite shower & toilet. Upstairs is the second bedroom with king size bed. There is a separate bathroom, with a bath, toilet & a second shower. Fully fitted kitchen with washing machine. The cottage is dog and family friendly. A traditional 1806 fisherman;s cottage with lots of original features and plenty of character. Only a two minutes walk to the bus stop, promenade & all the amenities. Just a few minutes walk to the shops in the centre of the village. The pier is also a short stroll along the promenade to the restaurants, amusement arcade & sandy beach. There are two terraces in the garden, with garden furniture. The views are outstanding & breath taking over Swansea bay. A lovely spot for a coffee or a glass of wine!!!
I am a mumbles girl, born & bred. I have owned my own successful business in Swansea Market for many years. Airbnb/booking.com is a new venture for me, which I am enjoying very much, especially hearing how guests are loving fisherman's cottage and of course, the mumbles. I am a very big animal lover, I have taken in and adopted many rescued animals. I have two labradors at present. The cottage has just won an award, showing in the photo section, for 2023. I am very honoured to have achieved this award
A two minute walk from the cottage to the main road. A further minutes walk to the beach. There is a full childrenns play area along with numerous bars, restaurants, crazy golf, clothes shops etc. There are regular busses every half hour to the city centre. Bicycles to hire in the promenade and during the summer months there is a mini train that takes you to the pier and amusement arcade, and then on to blackpill paddling pool lido, The woodman inn in blackpill does lovely food & dog friendly. There are many take away food places as well as restaurants and bars ( a lot of which are dog friendly) to visit. All listed in our information file at the cottage. Free parking on main road, where there are no white lines, or council car parks, along the promenade. Bicycles to hire on the promenade also. Bus service every half hour. Bus stop 2 minutes walk from cottage. Taxis available. If at busy times of the year extra parking is needed, there is free parking also up thistleboon estate. Go up Western lane, instead of turning a sharp left onto village lane, just keep going straight up the top of thistleboon drive, which brings you to the main road. Free parking anywhere where there are NO white lines.
