    It's a great location by the lake and only 10 minutes' drive away from lots of restaurants, and takeaway eateries. It's really nice for walking your dog or walking off evening meals! Cottage was really comfortable and has everything you need.

    We stayed in the 4 bed cottage Lily of the Valley, it was dog friendly but we had no dogs it just looked like it had a nice private outdoor area, which it did and we were able to BBQ at the back. It was a little far to carry paddle boards down...

    Lovely glamping pod. Everything you need for a couples weekend away, clean, well equipped and in a lovely place. Shop on site for forgotten items was good and the welcome pack was an unexpected treat. Nice quiet way to spend a weekend at the lakes.

Hill Of Oaks is a Five Star Visit England, David Bellamy Gold & AA 5 Pennant Park nestled on the slopes of an ancient woodland with exclusive Lake Windermere frontage for almost one mile along the shore of Lake Windermere in the Lake District National Park. This idyllic holiday location is perfectly located for access to the main areas within the Lake District National Park, with extensive on-site facilities including a licensed shop and wildlife walks. Wi-Fi is limited, due to rural location, where available.

Windermere and the surrounding areas are packed full of things to do for all the family. Bowness-on-Windermere (just 5 miles away) is packed full of trendy bars, traditional country inns and a wide selection of speciality restaurants. Windermere Lake Cruises have a scheduled shuttle stop from the Twin Piers at Hill Of Oaks, allowing you to take the scenic lake route to either Lakeside, Bowness or Ambleside.
