Colterscleuch Cottage is a traditional built stone cottage located in the beautiful Border countryside of Teviothead in a quiet and peaceful setting yet only a short drive to the historic Border towns. The cottage has a homely and welcoming feel, offering a spacious comfortable, and relaxing stay. It has a fully equipped modern kitchen and a large lounge with a wood-burning stove that adds to the cosy cottage feel, with free high speed fibre broadband. The two spacious bedrooms have super comfy beds and have been specially chosen for a restful sleep. There is a patio for alfresco dining and is perfectly placed for watching the many birds that visit. As well as the patio, there is access to the Teviot River that flows at the bottom of the garden with secluded seating area that offers a peaceful and quiet retreat, or you can make your way down to the river to enjoy the views across the Teviot hills or for a swim! The cottage is a good base to visit and explore the Scottish Borders towns which are rich in history and culture. Pets are welcome (max 2) at an additional cost. The cottage is suitable for both couples and families. Comfortably sleeps 2 - 5 people.

If you like to browse picturesque small towns and villages, shop for amazing knitwear & cashmere, learn about our ancient history, sample the finest local produce, there is an endless supply for you. If you want to get out into our stunning countryside to walk amongst hills and forestry, fish for salmon and trout, hunt game on the estates, ride horses, travel the winding roads by motorbike or cycle, or take your mountain bike off road, the Scottish Borders is the best place to do it all. If you like star gazing, we have amazing vast dark skies here at Colterscleuch. We are also close to Kielder Observatory and only 2 hours from Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park. Colterscleuch is also ideally placed to travel slightly further afield and visit the neighbouring Scottish regions of Dumfries & Galloway and the Lothians. The English borders of Northumberland and Cumbria are only a stone’s throw away. A car is required. Private parking in the driveway for two cars.
