The large ensuite private bedroom is located in a modern (2016) ground floor apartment. This a homestay. You are renting a room in the apartment we live in. You will be sleeping in a handmade queen-size wooden bed. There is a work table with a chair, cushion and lamp. There are side tables, waste paper baskets, a second chair and touch lamp and wall-to-ceiling cupboard space. The large, brightly lit ensuite bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, a large wall mirror, toilet, basin and electric shaver point.
We enjoy talking to guests but are equally happy to respect their privacy if that is their preference. Charles was brought up in Edinburgh. Lihong is from north-east China.
The neighbourhood is well served for transport. The apartment is two minutes walk from Cambridge Station. There is a large station car park closeby. There are taxi ranks in front of the station and several bus stops in the immediate area. Most of the buildings are post-2016 in construction. The area is favoured by tech companies: Apple, Amazon Research and Microsoft Research are all within 3 minutes walk. The city centre and University colleges are within walking distance.
