Absolutely amazing accommodation. We enjoyed the view and the hot tub a lot. The photos on booking do not do this place justice. The cabin had everything you could possibly need and more. Definitely would stay again!

Nestled in the gardens of our family home between the Caledonian Canal and Loch Lochy, this well-equipped pod provides comfortable accommodation for 2 people within natural surroundings. With lochside access and extraordinary views up to the Grey Corries, Aanoch Mor and the Mighty Ben Nevis, staying here provides you with an ideal base to explore the local area. Allow us to redefine your expectations, where simple is made perfect, and the local terrain becomes your adventure playground. ***Please note this is a pod and not a tent- unfortunately there was no option to list it as a pod***
We are a family of 7 although there is only myself (Karen), Uisdean, Findlay (15) and Ru (10) now residing at the property as our three daughters have now spread their wings and are off on new adventures. We live in the main house with our dogs Colum (golden Labrador), Scruff (Cockapoo) and Luna (Borkie). We all love the outdoors and look forward to welcoming you to our home and providing you with suggestions about the best places to visit in the area. Uisdean is a fully qualified outdoor instructor, with over 30 years of experience, and so is on hand to provide any advice required regarding the outdoors. He is also in the process of setting up resources and insurance to enable him to offer guided services to our guests looking to do something a bit different. Karen is from a nursing background but an accident in 2013 resulted in her becoming a double above knee amputee in 2018. Since then she has had a change of career and now runs a successful Bed and Breakfast in Fort William and a children's nursery. We stay on-site so generally available to answer any questions. Love to socialise with guests if they wish to do so. Alternatively we are always at the end of a phone.
Gairlochy is a clachan, or hamlet, of population approx. 100. It lies on the southern shores of Loch Lochy, a large freshwater loch in the district of Lochaber in the North West Highlands of Scotland. Gairlochy is surrounded by several other small crofting settlements, the largest of which is Achnacarry. We are approx. 8 miles from Fort William and 3 miles from Spean Bridge.
