Penrhosmawr Farm Holidays offers a family holiday in the unspoilt countryside of Mid Wales. Only 20 minutes from the beach, Penrhosmawr offers the perfect family holiday or short break. The farm has been in the Williams family for over 100 years. Farmed by Henry's father and great grandfather mementos are found all around this historic family property. Although Penrhosmawr is still a working farm, Carys and Henry diversified 3 years ago to include accommodation and share their beautiful countryside location with visitors.
Machynlleth, once the seat of Owain Glynwyr's Welsh parliament, is easily acessbily from Penrhosmawr. The local market is every Wednesday where you will find a range of local produce, arts and crafts and more. Machynlleth offers a good choice of shops and several take-aways and places to eat for those who don't wish to cook! For walkers, there are many footpaths leading from the village, and within a short drive two notable peaks: Plynlimon Fawr, the highest point in the Camrbrians, and Cader Idris, a rocky ridge in southern Snowdonia.Glyndwrs Way is on Penrhosmawrs door step so if you're a keen walker then why not do a section of this historic walking route! Just outside Machynlleth is the Centre for Alternative Technology, with 7 acres of displays and gardens demonstrating sustainable living. Cross the Dyfi Bridge and follow the coast road north to reach picturesque Aberdovey with its fishing harbour and huge sandy beach. Or take the coast road south and visit the coastal village of Borth and the dunes and beach at Ynyslas. Carry on a little further and you'll reach the thriving university town of Aberystwyth. The Dyfi Osprey project is approximately 5 miles away
