Penllyn Estate has been farmed by the Homfray family for 200 years. We are primarily a mixed arable and livestock farm, with a hospitality offering via Forage Farm Shop (opened 2020) and Cowbridge Cabins (2014).

Cowbridge Cabins has added two hobbit pods to our 6 wooden cabins adjacent to the award winning Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. Enjoy breathtaking countryside views over the Thaw valley and the best of Welsh cuisine for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Forage. The Hazel pod features one king sized bed, a sofa bed plus a cosy bunk bed for kids. Ideal for a family with children!

Cowbridge Cabins is nestled within the 2,000 acres of Penllyn Estate in the beautiful and picturesque Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales. We cater for all types of stay. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway, family holiday or are on business, Cowbridge Cabins is the place for you. Only ten minutes walk from the historic market town of Cowbridge, the cabins are close to many quality pubs, restaurants and fantastic boutique shops. There are also the hidden gems of the Cowbridge Physic Garden and the imposing Beaupre Castle to discover and explore. Cowbridge was crowned the 'Best Place to Live in Wales’ by The Sunday Times in 2017. During your stay enjoy the many beautiful walks around the countryside via the network of public footpaths which criss cross the area. Shop and dine at Forage Farm Shop, which is a 1 minute from the Cabins. Selling local welsh goods and serving Estate produce in the resturant such as home reared lamb, beef and pork. Stunning beaches are only a short car journey away where you can learn surfing, horse riding, experience coasteering or simply build a sand castle and relax by the calming waves. The cabins are perfect for all business travel as Cardiff airport (CWL) is only 30 minutes away by car and just under an hour by bus. Bridgend train station is only 6 miles away, with direct links to Cardiff Central.
