The Sailors Rest in Appledore has all the benefits of the re-invention of The Royal George on nearby Irsha Street with additional extras too. Most of the rooms here have stunning estuary views, you're in the heart of the thriving fishing village and you can still pop down to The Royal George for breakfast each morning. The six self contained rooms are are all comfortably furnished and well equipped. There is no customer parking but there is unrestricted parking on the quayside directly in front of the building, and a nearby car park too. Breakfast can be continental or cooked at the nearby Royal George, a 500m walk away along the stunning quayside and Irsha Street. Walkers have the coast path, cyclists the Tarka Trail; surfers nearby Westward Ho! and Saunton; fisher-people can book a trip from the quay. Sandy Instow is across the estuary, so is Tapeley Park; Rosemoor Garden is half an hour’s drive.
