A spacious, stylish home-from-home, right near town but surrounded by greenery. There's a big garden with a hot tub and a lovely writers' retreat/office (both bookable separately). There are two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, one with a double. The bathroom is shared by the two rooms. You are also free to use the kitchen for breakfast and hanging out. A breakfast of organic sourdough bread, jams/marmalades and granola (all home made) is included with the room booking with GF, LF, vegan etc all possible with a bit of warning. We're only 30 minutes drive from Cheltenham for the race course and all the fabulous festivals - literature, jazz, science and food. You can also visit Bristol and Bath in under an hour and many nearby attractions such as our award winning Farmers' Market, Slimbridge, Painswick Rococco Gardens, Cattle Country, Go Ape, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Berkeley Castle, Woodchester Mansion, The Gardens at Miserden, Woodchester Vineyard with wine tasting, and more.
I'm a freelance trainer and family mediator. When I'm not working or hosting I'm playing tennis, rowing on the Gloucester canal, crafting/upcycling or out enjoying Stroud's amazing arts and social life.
Stroud was voted The UK's best place to live in 2021, and us Stroudies all agree. We have an award winning farmers' market, beautiful hills and valleys for walking, a golf course on the common, a canal to stroll along, lots more gigs, art events and festivals than a town of this size would expect, lovely pubs and restaurants and a great community. Rodborough is one of the most desirable parts of Stroud too! Come and see for yourself.
