Situated overlooking the famous bridge and village green in the stunning Yorkshire Dales’ village of Burnsall. The Green at Burnsall offers the perfect location to explore all the beauty the Yorkshire Dales National Park has to offer. With three gorgeous, cosy rooms, all with their own very special view, The Green offers ideal accommodation for those needing a rest stop on one of the many walks and cycle trails that pass by or for a more relaxed longer stay to really allow yourself to take in the delightful surroundings. Just 3 miles from the picturesque village of Grassington, recently made famous by the series “All Creatures Great & Small”, a stone's throw from the historic ruins at Bolton Abbey, and a short drive from the tourist hotspot Malham with its jaw dropping limestone scenery, or just enjoy one of the many walks straight from the front door.
One of the most beautiful villages in Wharfedale, Burnsall lies on a bend of the River Wharfe surrounded by a spectacular circle of fells. The village was originally an Anglo-Viking settlement and the parish church still contains rare Viking and Anglo-Saxon carved stones which are well-worth a visit. A small exhibition tells their story inside the church. Burnsall is on both the Dales Way, an 85 mile hiking route connecting Ilkley and Bowness-on-Windermere, and the Way of the Roses, a cycling course which opened in 2010 and goes coast to coast from Morecambe in Lancashire to Bridlington in East Yorkshire.
