For more photos and inside information follow theoldpottery20. The Old Pottery, Foxdown is a converted stone outbuilding on the edges of a quiet village and down a narrow Devon lane. It is attached to, but separate from the main house. It is a wonderfully peaceful and quiet location surrounded by Riverford Farm organic fields and away from the hustle and bustle.
My family moved to Landscove over ten years ago and my children have grown up exploring the local rivers, woods and fields with total freedom. Myself and my partner Neil are also long-standing volunteers with the local Dartmoor Mountain Rescue team, who help the lost, injured and vulnerable both on Dartmoor and all over Devon. We both have a passion for and extensive knowledge of Dartmoor. Having grown up in France I am also a fluent French speaker. I will often be around in the main house if you need anything, but otherwise will let you enjoy your stay in peace.
Landscove is a quiet village tucked away in the South Hams 2 miles down a single track lane with passing places, but only 10 minutes from the A38 at Ashburton so easily accessible. Dartmoor is 15 minutes away, as is Totnes. The closest coast is 30 minutes away. The outstanding Riverford Field Kitchen is only 10 minutes away, or the village pub 15 minutes walk down the hill also serves food. You will need a car here as we are off any public transport routes. This will give you access to Dartmoor (15 minutes), a good range of beaches and the towns of Ashburton, Totnes and beyond to explore at your leisure.
