There is the main house (The Artist's House) which is open for renting in July & August and a separate detached studio building in the garden of the house (The Little Studio) open for renting spring & summer. The studio is a compact but elegant self contained apartment suitable for short stays. It has a king size bed with very comfortable mattress. Sliding door to shower room with heated towel rail, w.c. sink & shower. There is a kitchenette with sink/drainer & little breakfast bar with stools. Microwave with grill function, kettle, toaster, Lavazza coffee machine/milk frother & mini fridge. Coffee pods, tea, chocolate & muesli are provided along with milk. Glasses, cutlery & white crockery. Oak floor, white walls and opening Velux windows with blinds make for a light and comfy compact space. Double glazed opening doors onto wooden decking plus use of an attractive enclosed garden with low table & chairs. We're on the edge of the main shopping streets so only five minute walk to the shops and sea. Cotton bed linen and towels laundered with Ecover. Lavazza eco compostable coffee pods are provided along with tea and milk and breakfast muesli. Smoke detector and fire extinguisher. Usb and shaver sockets. PLEASE NOTE : This is a small space and ideal for short stays for guests with light luggage and planning to be out & about during the day - it is not suitable for people wishing to use it as an office space as there is no desk. It is also not suitable for people with health conditions or impairments. We are in the centre of bustling Penzance so although well insulated The Studio is town accommodation rather than a quiet rural experience - some noise is to be expected. The garden is for guest use but is NOT self contained or fenced off from the main house. Joined to one side of The Studio is a paved yard & separate access gate used by the main house. We are are artists/ makers and have lived in Penzance for the last 20 years creating this space for family and visitors to comfortably stay for a few nights. Catherine is a landscape painter and also runs a mosaic workshop with her husband Valentine.

Penzance is set in the beautiful Mounts Bay on the south coast of far west Cornwall and its mild climate provides an abundance of sub-tropical plants and palm trees. It is a lively and friendly harbour town with some of the uk's best and cleanest beaches nearby or a short drive away. We are a five minute walk to the centre of town and the train/bus station. Parking can be a little tight in Penzance but spaces can usually be found in our street or nearby. There is also a long stay car park close to the house. It can be noisy sometimes as we are close to central town and next to a road.
