Do you like the idea of staying in a bed and breakfast but don't like the idea of having to make conversation with complete strangers first thing in the morning? Would you like to be able to put the children to bed then come downstairs and relax in your own sitting room? Then come to Tollgate Cottages - your own private bed and breakfast! The accommodation will sleep up to 4 and is situated in the heart of the West Wight countryside at the foot of Afton and Tennyson Downs. There is easy access to coastal and downland footpaths including the spectacular Tennyson Trail, the Needles and the river walk to Yarmouth.
I have been running Tollgate Cottages bed and breakfast since 1995. I was born on the Isle of Wight and love it here. I think running a B&B is in the blood my parents used to run a guest house and I can remember helping my mum by waiting at table when I was very young.
The Isle of Wight is a beautiful place, there are a variety of different walks across the downs, woodlands, river walks etc. Freshwater Bay is a stunning place, very close to Tollgate Cottages with its caves, superb swimming and rockpools. Alum Bay and the Needles are close by and are stunning. Yarmouth with it's harbour and pier is only 3 miles away.
