UpAlong Cottage is one of two gorgeous Thatched Cottages we have at HiddenDevon. It is a fully renovated 450 year old Cobb Farmhouse, it has toasty warm underfloor heating , a log burner , kitchen with dining table , separate Utility room , Upstairs bathroom + additional downstairs toilet , Enclosed garden with Patio and seating, set in the gorgeous Devon countryside , yet easy access to the best of North Devon, Beaches (35 mins) between the moors ,and lots of dog friendly pubs.
After 14 Years of living in Hong Kong, we decided to return to the UK and have spent the last 5 years transforming the farm, planting trees, encouraging wildlife and carefully renovating these gorgeous cottages to bring them into the 21st century yet retaining their character and history. We love being able to share them with guests.
We are 1 mile from the Lovely Devon village of Dolton , it has two good pubs , a village shop and a butchers. You can walk to the village down through our fields and along a quiet lane , it takes just 25mins . We are in an area with lots of wonderful dog friendly pubs , and easy access to the best of North Devon beaches and stunning coastline. We also have lots to do locally , Dartington Glass in Torrington , RHS Rosemoor , Alpaca walking at Woolley animals , or just go for a stroll around our quiet lanes. If Hiking is your thing , you can be at Belstone on the edge of Dartmoor in 29mins ! Try a different North Devon beach each day , plus Cornwall isn't far , Bude is less than an hour away.
