The bed was comfy and its near the tower in Ushguli. The owners are really friendly and kind. I had some bad luck and arrived on the day of funeral, so unfortunately I could not have dinner or breakfast.

Welcome to Guesthouse Luka, nestled in the heart of Chazhashi village, the historical centre of Ushguli — one of Europe’s highest continuously inhabited settlements and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and ancient Svan towers, our guesthouse offers a rare chance to experience life in one of Georgia’s most unique mountain communities. Our home blends traditional Svan architecture with modern touches for comfort. Inside, you’ll find warm wood interiors, handmade rugs, and local artefacts that reflect the soul of Svaneti. Most of our rooms offer stunning views of the mountains or ancient towers, and our cozy common areas create the perfect space to relax after a day of hiking or exploring the area. Guests are welcomed like family — with genuine Georgian hospitality. We serve delicious homemade breakfasts using local ingredients, and we’re always happy to share stories, help plan hikes or offer insight into local traditions and culture. Whether you’re here to trek, explore the ancient towers, or simply breathe the fresh mountain air, we aim to make your stay feel like a true escape. Let Guesthouse Luka be your home in Ushguli — a place where tradition, nature, and hospitality meet.
Hello and welcome! My name is Luka, and I’m truly happy to share a part of Ushguli with you. Hosting guests from around the world is not just something I do — it’s something I genuinely love. Whether it’s preparing warm, home-cooked meals, helping you plan your hikes, or simply sitting down for a chat over a cup of tea, I enjoy every moment of welcoming travellers into our home. One of my favourite parts of hosting is introducing guests to traditional Svan cuisine — hearty, flavourful dishes that have been passed down for generations. I take great joy in cooking and sharing these meals with you, whether it's kubdari, chvishtari, or other local favourites. When I’m not hosting, I love spending time in nature, hiking in the mountains, and learning about the stories and traditions of my region. Ushguli is a magical place, and I feel lucky to live here every day — even luckier when I get to show others its beauty and history. Whether you're here for a quiet escape, a mountain adventure, or a cultural journey, I’m here to help make your stay special, comfortable, and memorable. Looking forward to welcoming you to our home in Chazhashi village!
Our guesthouse is located in Chazhashi, the historical heart of Ushguli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a few steps away, you can explore ancient Svan towers, the local museum, and the beautiful Enguri River. Nearby, you’ll also find the famous Lamaria Church, with stunning views of Mount Shkhara, the highest peak in Georgia. There are many hiking paths around, leading to glaciers, valleys, and amazing viewpoints. It’s a peaceful and special place where history, nature, and mountain life come together.
