Our lovely village cottage is situated in the traditional village of Volimes right by the famous Shipwreck bay (just 5 minutes by car!) and 5km away from the port of Agios Nikolaos Volimes and 4km away from the magnificent beaches of "Makris Gialos" and "Xigia". A perfect location to explore the real, rural soul of the Ionian sea juwel Zakynthos. It offers wonderful views of pine forests and meadows. Ideal for an unforgettable stay!
The house is located in the mountainous traditional village of Volimes, which is 30km away from the capital of the island. It is built in an ideal location, very close to traditional taverns and grill house, (where you could taste well-known pita-gyros and souvlaki). Within a short distance are an bakery, a pharmacy, a medical center, a mini market. The visitor can buy pure, traditional products (honey,wine,oil,cheese,rustic bread,mandollate,pasteli) and hand-crafted folk art. The church of Agia Paraskevi with its remarkable icons and hagiographies is one of the interesting sights as well as the monastery of Agios Georgios of Kremnos. Do not miss to enjoy the magnificent view of the famous Shipwreck-Navagio Beach, which is only 5 minutes away by car and swim in the crystal clear waters by taking a boat from Saint Nikolaos Volimes(5km away from the house)or the beach "Makris Gialos"(4km away from the house). Xiggia Beach is the perfect place to relax and have a therapeutic bath in the sulphurous waters. (5km away from the house). Finally,the area is known throughout the island for the Blue Caves (peculiar caves where water has impressive blue reflections) and you can visit them...
