This charming chalet located on mountain Biokovo on 900 m elevation is a newly luxuriously renovated 300 years old stone house with a rich history. It was a post office in the 18th century and connected the Riviera with the hinterland. It was a place to exchange horses and carriages, and a place for post officers and passengers to rest. The property is located on a historical road which was built in the era of Austro- Hungarian empire and Napoleon. The road connected the Makarska riviera with Bosnia and Herzegovina and to this day it's one of the roads with highest elevation. In the past, and to this day but in a smaller amount, the area was a huge agricultural field for various crops and wild therapeutic herbs. Originally the house was made out of stones which were excavated from the ground in order to make the water tank which is still in use and is filled with rainwater. The original builder left his signature on the facade in the shape of female breasts as a reminder of his lovely wife who gave birth to their two daughters.
