West coast house is perched on top of the hill overlooking the picturesque village of Dooagh and has A million dolllar view from the bedrooms of the Atlantic Ocean ,Croghan Mountain and the beautiful Dooagh Village it is on the Wild Atlantic Way and it is here that you experience the true sense of the Wild Atlantic Way where the land runs into the sea you can walk the beautiful unspoilt beaches feel the Atlantic Sea breeze ,hear the waves and smell the fresh strand and it is a wonderful experience this cannot be captured on camera or phone Comfortable rooms with all necessary facilities ,warm showers ,tea coffee making ,,hairdryer , Panoramic views of mountain ,cliff and Atlantic Ocean Great choice for breakfast ,Cooked to order breakfast WIFI throughout the house Quiet surroundings with a big garden for guest use Close to Deserted village ,Keem bay ,Keel Beach for surfing , Host has wonderful knowledge of the area ,the people and able to advise you on the best thing to see while on holiday here . We are experienced hosts as we have run the business for 25 years .We like meeting people ,visitors and we enjoy sharing our lovely place with them . Driving ,walking ,cycling the Wild Atlantic Way round Achill island is very popular with our guests you can park the car and simply enjoy the quiet ,tranquil magnificent surroundings you may be lucky enough to sight dolphins jumping and playing in the bay we are adjacent to Keem Bay voted as the third best beach in the world .here sharks have been spotted regularly and can be clearly seen when in the area The Deserted village is a short walk away from the house it is similiar but very moving famine village where ruins of 80 houses are The lasy beds where the potatoes grew are clear to be seen here Purteen Harbour is 1 km from the B & B where you can see boasts coming and going during the day and the various catches of fish being caught by our local fishermen .There is a Grainne uaile Castle 9 k.m away which is very impressive and the view from the top of Minaun Mountain which you can drive to is amazing To top all that you can enjoy lovely fresh food fish just caught and prepared daily at Cliff House
Achill island is a large island connected by Bridge to the mainland , You can drive the 12 miles in length and 11 miles width and it has magnificent scenery , It hangs out into the Atlantic Ocean and has 4 blue flag beaches with lovely golden sand there are great waves for board surfing and kite surfing and there are schools here where you can rent and learn the sport There are beautiful walks in the area to suit the young and the old on the Wild Atlantic Way there are nice cycle routes also and bikes can be hired nearby Driving ,walking ,cycling the Wild Atlantic Way round Achill island is very popular with our guests you can park the car and simply enjoy the quiet ,tranquil magnificent surroundings you may be lucky enough to sight dolphins jumping and playing in the bay we are adjacent to Keem Bay voted as the third best beach in the world .here sharks have been spotted regularly and can be clearly seen when in the area The Deserted village is a short walk away from the house it is similiar but very moving famine village where ruins of 80 houses are The lasy beds where the potatoes grew are clear to be seen here Purteen Harbour is 1 km away
