The family run An Portan Guesthouse is situated in Dún Chaoin on the edge of the Dingle Peninsula. The rooms at An Portan are all at ground floor level and are arranged in a courtyard style. Each room has its own entrance door, en-suite bathroom,TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There are many fantastic hiking trails nearby as well as some of the most stunning beaches in the world. An Portan is situated in a nature lovers paradise, overlooking the Blasket Islands, which are visited by very many of our visitors. An Portan is close to Ionad an Blascaoid and across the road from Krugers pub which provides lunches and evening meals.

    Room was big and comfortable. Washing facilities were great as they have soft water. The choice of breakfast was good as well. I had a sizeable omelette for breakfast. The local pub was a very short walk away, which had a great atmosphere.

An Portan is situated on the westerly tip of the Dingle Peninsula in the coastal village of Dunquin overlooking the Blasket Islands and the Atlantic Ocean. Dunquin is an Irish speaking community. An Portan offers complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking. The property includes a dining room which has a view of the Islands and the ocean. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with with a shower and toilet. Rooms also have a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy breakfast cooked to order. Vegetarian options are also available. An Portan offers access to the Blasket Centre (500m) and to Dunquin Pier, from where boat trips to the Great Blasket Island depart. An Portan is also an ideal starting point for many of the stunning walking trails on the Dingle Peninsula. An Portan also offers easy access to water sports, cycling, horse riding, guided walking tours and golfing.
We are situated close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world such as Coumeenoole and Clogher strands. Directly across the road from us is the most westerly pub in Ireland which serves meals daily from 12 - 9pm. We are also close to nearby Ballyferriter Village (7 kilometers) which has a museum, church and and a number of pubs offering entertainment and dining options.
