Beachside Cottage - Bettystown - Meath's Gold Coast Bovinda Cottage is about 30 meters from the golden beaches of East Meath. It is in the village of Bettystown. With two bedrooms it is ready to host a small family. 4 people can be accommodated in a double room and a room with bunk beds. Bettystown is close to a host of attractions for families.....Tayto Park, Funtasia, the beach, Newgrange Farm, Newgrange, Game of Thrones Boat Tours, The Irish Military War Museum.....the list goes on. Less than 30 minutes from Dublin Airport and 5 minutes from the train that takes you to Dublin or Belfast with many coastal stops in-between and beyond. There is also a regular bus service to Dublin and the Town of Drogheda giving you easy access to a host of exciting activities. Please note that our cottage does offer a full kitchen and own front door. It appears that this information is missing from some of our booking channels :)

Hi, I look forward to welcoming you to Bovinda Cottage :) Having travelled the world far and wide, I understand and appreciate the comfort and value of being able to stay somewhere that feels like a home away from home, and this is what I believe Bovinda Cottage offers. It's my former home and I recently renovated it for my Mum who's not yet ready to move from our family home, so I'm delighted to be able to offer it to guests. Bettystown is part of Co Meath's 5km of coastline. The beach is beautiful and great for fun & games or walking/jogging (even horse riding!) Drogheda, on the Boyne is a medieval town just 10 minutes. It is the largest town in Ireland though still has a village feel with a wealth of unique attractions within walking distance of each other. Drogheda derives its name from the Irish Droichead Átha meaning ‘Bridge of the Ford’. Quiet lanes feed into thoroughfares and shopping areas, with many restaurants, cafés and nightlife. Take the heritage trail around some of the ancient sites within the town’s old walls. Drogheda is the ideal centre from which to visit the nearby treasures of Newgrange, Brú na Bóinne, Monasterboice, Oldbridge (Battle of the Boyne) and Mellifont. The story of Drogheda is told at Millmount Tower and Museum, which is located high above the town within a Napoleonic-era Martello Tower. Down in the town centre, St. Peter’s Church, houses the shrine of St. Oliver Plunkett, a Catholic martyr. There is no end of family fun to be had at Funtasia Waterpark, Bettystown Beach, Tayto Park and a host of other places that you'll find presented in the cottage gallery.
