We are Jemma & Joe Conneely, Joe is a native of Roundstone with a family history that goes back generations, who grew up in Beola & Eldons, an avid outdoors man, water sports & pub enthusiast. Joe is also a skilled cabinet maker. Many pieces you will find throughout Eldons were made and supplied by Beola Crafts, a company Joe’s father, Joe Snr, started in 1975, and now have been updated and added to by Joe. Jemma hails from Sydney, with a background in fine art and auction houses, and is passionate about history and all the area has to offer for visitors, and is always happy to create a personalised itinerary for your stay. Returning to Connemara in early 2023 to refurb and re-open Eldons, we are coming up to our third season now, with two successful years behind us. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Multi-coloured houses perched along a ribbon of road which hugs a curving harbour, bobbing boats and hand built stone piers, views to the Atlantic ocean, across to Cashel Hill or the beautiful mountain peaks of the Twelve Bens & Errisbeg Hill, it is no wonder Roundstone is often voted as a must see village of Ireland. Eldon's is situated right in the center of the village with easy access to four pubs, two restaurants and three cafes. There are many walks, hikes and outdoor activities at your finger tips, or boat rides, saunas and swims. The famous Dogs Bay and beautiful Gurteen beach are only a five minute drive away. During the year there are a multitude of events hosted in Roundstone, pony and dog shows, regattas, Irish music nights, history walks, and more. Further a field many adventures await and we are happy to make suggestions based on interests!
