Get away to this artists retreat, the cottage is full of character and charm, with no wifi television and erratic phone reception, so it is a calm space. .You can walk to the top of the lane and make those phone calls from there... It is an ideal space for couples or a family. You can enjoy the fire in the stove, or build your own outside in the field.It is close to the idyllic beach of Streedagh and only 5 miles drive into the heart of Benbulbin's horseshoe walk. The two bedrooms at the back are really adjoining rooms separated by a wall and door, these are the rooms with the 2 single beds and the 2 sets of bunks, The other bedroom with the double bed is larger with its own fireplace and is off the main kitchen/dining area that you see in the photograph. It depends on who is going to be using the house but I would think its ideal for 4 people on a longer term and absolutely fine for larger numbers for short term weekly stay. There are the most amazing beaches within 10 minutes drive for swimming and surfing, There is stunning scenery with mountain walking and riding stables all close. The local village of Grange has everything, supermarket, laundrette and two lovely pubs.
I am a sculptor and I find Marsh cottage is my solace and escape from the midlands territory, where I live, to the wonderful Atlantic and the mountains. Sligo town is the perfect distance to dip in and out of for culture.
