Oakville is a bright airy luxurious home, close to all amenities, shops, trains, buses. 40 minutes from Dublin City Center by train or car, 10 minutes from Wicklow Mountains, Powerscourt Waterfall and gardens and 10 minutes from the beautiful Bray Seafront with a wide variety of bars, restaurants and fun beachfront activities. Ideal for Stay-cations, family holidays, walking retreats, special occasions, birthdays, hens, wedding parties. Not for wild parties. Price based on 4 sharing, sleeps 10. IMPORTANT, please book and pay for the exact amount of guests staying, this is for insurance purposes and not to cause embarrassment of paying for extra guests on arrival. We reserve the right to refuse entry on arrival if the correct number of guests have not been paid for.
We are a married couple and have lived here in Bray for 20 years, in that time we have made many changes and upgrades to our home and finally decided to start our Airbnb business in 2017, priory to that we hosted foreign students from all over the world who came to Ireland to learn English. We very much enjoy travelling (when we have time) and have remained friends with many of our past students and Airbnb guests. Niall is from a very large family who are scattered all over the worked, and I have family living in Spain where I lived for many years. I love to cook and recently my sister and I were featured on a TV programme called Tastes Like Home.
Full Irish Breakfast available for additional charge, must be pre-ordered. Bacon, sausage, black & white pudding, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, toast, tea/coffee. We will leave in basics tea,coffee,milk,bread/butter and cereals. Upstairs TV works via ChromeCast with WiFi, you will need to stream via your phone so Netflix etc will need to be downloaded. Bray and its surrounds has also been host to many famous actors and film locations such as, Braveheart, PS I Love You, My Left Foot, Far & Away, The Tudors, Disney's Disenchanted to name but a few. Famous residents of Bray and the area include Bono, Hozier, Eddie Jordan, Sinead O'Connor, Katie Taylor. Oscar WIlde, James Joyce and Arthur Conan Doyle lived here once upon a time, the list goes on... The Bus stop is located 1 minute from our home and the train station is 10 minutes walking. Buses and trains (D.A.R.T) run regularly to and from Dublin City. Guests are welcome to leave their cars parked at the house to avoid traffic and parking in the City. Aircoach 702 Dublin Airport to Greystones direct route leaves guests at the Wilton Hotel stop which is 7 mins walk from the house, the Aircoach runs every 2 hours and takes approx. 1 hr 40 mins to Bray. Bus stop located 1 minute from our home and the train station is 10 minutes walking. Buses and trains (D.A.R.T) run regularly to and from Dublin City. Guests are welcome to leave their cars parked at the house to avoid traffic and parking in the City. Aircoach 702 Dublin Airport to Greystones route leave guests at the Wilton Hotel stop which is 7 mins walk from the house, the Aircoach runs hourly and takes approx. 1 hr 40 mins to Bray.
