Retreat by the Feale is situated in Finuge, a 5 min drive from Listowel, off the main N69 Listowel/Tralee By Pass with two private double room available and a shared bathroom plus a private guest sitting room. The village is home to McCarthy's Bar and Sheehan's Thatched House and Teach Siamsa. It is situated a short distance from the famous River Feale, three miles from the heritage town of Listowel, which is famous for its festivals including Writers Week in June and Listowel Races in September. And also now a part of the Kingdom of Kerry Greenways. A car is recommended for travel due to the location.
If you are looking for a base for touring Kerry or the Kingdom as it's referred to locally, well look no more, being from Kerry myself I cannot recommend the county enough for any break, be it adventure, family, or just a getaway from it all!
Listowel is famous for its Writers Week and many of its famous writers and Listowel Races & is an ideal touring base for Kerry, The nearest beach is Ballybunion is about 9 miles away, If you prefer a long golden sandy beach, so why not take a spin at Banna Beach, well worth a visit here if you want to take in a spectacular sunset on your visit. The property is 17 miles from Tralee which is about 25 min drive and Killarney is about a 50 min drive and Dingle is 1 hour's drive which makes for a fantastic day trip with Slea Head Drive, Dingle Ocean World, Dingle Distillery tour, and an abundance of restaurants for lunch. Kerry Airport is located 40 minutes away. It also makes a great stop off for guests en route on the Wild Atlantic Way as the Shannon Ferry is only a 20-minute drive away in Tarbert and takes you directly to Clare and up the coast on the Wild Atlantic Way. Please note it is recommended to have a car, due to the property's location.
