Our property is located at the foot of the beautiful Ballyhoura mountains, along the Awbeg river. Newly built it is spacious and bright. The interior design is stylish with modern features. Mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, water sports and lots more activities are available on our doorstep. Extremely family friendly with enclosed back yard, a sky fort and extensive lawns for kids to play on. We are only 30 minutes from Limerick City, 50 minutes to Cork City, 90 minutes to Tralee - we really are in the heart of Munster, an ideal location for touring. The picturesque town of Adare is only 40 minutes away with beautiful restaurants. Kilmallock is 7 miles away which has a historic castle and playground. In the town of Charleville, again 7 miles, there is another playground, indoor play centre and town park.
My family and I love hiking up the moutons. We love walking and cycling and with being so close to the Ballyhoura moutons we are spoilt for choice!
Effin is a small, close knit community. Located in the heart of Munster at the foot of the Ballyhouras, you will find it harder to get someone more exquisite. Being in the middle of the Golden Vale region, farming is the biggest enterprise in the locality, so the land is kept tidy and the view from the top of the Ballyhouras is well worth the climb.
