I am an Adult Education Tutor and enjoy meeting and working with people from around the world. I have previous experience of hosting and working with visitors who have come to Ireland to improve their English. Michael, my husband and myself are on hand to offer advice and help in organising your trip I. E. Key places to visit locally in Cong etc. We enjoy the outdoors and activities like walking, cycling etc..My son plays football at the local GAA club in Cong and of course we support the Mayo Team and go to many GAA matches during the year..We save our own turf which is mostly the fuel we use for heating..

We are located about 2km from the historic village of Cong, famous for the filming of the "Quiet Man" movie. We offer a wonderful countryside experience of peace and tranquility as our guesthouse is located on our small farm. We have a selection of poultry providing our own free range eggs and other animals on the farm including sheep and pigs.

We are located about 40 km from Galway city and on the " Gateway to Connemara" which offers much beautiful and rugged scenery to be explored along the West Coast of Ireland.. Cong village and beyond has many wonderful walking and cycle trails for the visitor to explore. Indeed there are many recreational amenities on the grounds of nearby Ashford Castle like the Equestrian Centre, Falconry etc.. I would also recommend that the visitor take a cruise on the lovely Lough Corrib before you leave the area. If you travel further to Westport, Achill etc you can experience the magic of "The Wild Atlantic Way" with many cycle routes allowing you to explore the wonderful scenery along the way..In the local town of Ballinrobe during the Summer we have horseracing meetings, daytime and evening to be enjoyed. This is a great social event locally. All around the area there are Summertime festivals organised where visitors can experience the best musicians playing traditional Irish and other music..If the visitor wants to dine out locally there are many fine hotels and restaurants offering a varied menu to suit all tastes..A night spent in the local pub enjoying music and a Guinness or two!
