We are LOCATED in the suburbs of Cork city, situated in a quiet estate overlooking a green area. We are a 2 minute drive to the N40 motorway, 2km to Douglas Village, 8km to Cork City, 8km to Cork International Airport and 9km to the Cork Ringasiddy Ferryport. Free parking is available at the B&B with access to a Zappi Electric Vehicle home charging point. (charges will apply) We are an environmental friendly B&B with solar panels, air to water heat pump etc, and have achieved a top BER rating of A1. Bedrooms are large and spacious, all ensuite. We strive to make our guests feel comfortable and welcome at all times and make their stay here in our B&B a very memorable one.
Derry & Mary run the family owned B&B. Mary likes to dance & is especially keen on Irish Set dancing & Irish music. Derry likes to sing & play the guitar. They both like to play golf. Meeting, chatting and sharing local and general tourist information with their guests is very important to them.
Woodview House B&B is located in a quiet leafy area off the Rochestown Road which is 2km to Douglas Village. The village has many bars, restaurants, 2 large shopping centres, etc. Woodview House is less than 2 minutes from the main M40 motorway, 8km to Cork City centre which is home to the famous English Market, the oldest indoor market in Europe, which was the highlight of the Queen of England's visit to Ireland in 2015. We are 30 minutes from Kinsale, an old fishing shanty town with it's cobbled walkways & is renowned as the gourmet capital of Ireland. From Kinsale, follow The Wild Atlantic Way through West Cork to Kerry. We are a 20 min drive to Cobh, last port of call for the Titanic. Millions of Irish immigrants left Ireland from Cobh to make new lives in the USA, Canada, Australia, etc. We are also close to many other areas of interest, e.g. Blarney Castle, St Finbarr's Cathedral, Shandon Bells, known colloquially as 'the 4 faced liar'. We are 1.5 hour's drive to Killarney, and less than 3 hour's drive to Dingle, Co. Kerry.
