It is approximately 8 kilometers from the Mall, which is the central location of Darjeeling. The valley is renowned for its racecourse. The 11th Gorkha Rifles regiment is located just 100 meters away from the property, and it is also the site where the initial tea plantations of the Darjeeling hills began in the 1850s.
