The farmhouse, Borgir is located in the North West and is an ideal basecamp for visits to West Iceland. Borgir, is a land of it's own 2200 hectares.Borgir – the land and the farm house The farmhouse Borgir is located only 10m from the ocean on a land of more than 400 hectare of unspoiled nature, surrounded by hills on the west and ocean on east side. The wildlife is very vivid with seals, sheeps, horses, arctic foxes and various birds all around. Walking routes are available for your private encounter. Borgir is ideal place for hiking, kayaking, meditating as well as other outdoor activities. Borgir is also a good base for day trips to the Westfjords. This is a fabulous place for children and a great place to relax. Borgir were built originally in 1970 but were renovated extensively during 2004 to 2015. The upper floor of Borgir is 80 square meters with 3 bedrooms (master bedroom w/double bed (200x200cm), bedroom with two 90cmx200cm beds and bedroom with a bunker bed). There is also a well-equipped kitchen on the floor, bathroom as well as living room. Downstairs you have a library room which is also one of the bedroom.
I am a farmer and I live with my family on Kolbeinsá which is about 4 kilometers to the north of Borgir.
