Set on Lake Myvatn’s northern shore, this property is 5 minutes’ drive from Myvatn Nature Baths. On-site facilities include a communal kitchen, small convenience store and bicycle rental. Spread over 3 buildings, the simply furnished rooms at Hlid Bed and Breakfast all have a private bathroom with a shower. Guests can enjoy a daily breakfast buffet and BBQ equipment at Hlid B&B. A laundry room is also available. Staff arranges Icelandic horseback riding tours in the surroundings. The village of Reykjahlid, with restaurants, cafés and bars, is 1 km away. Area activities include hiking and Krossdalur Golf Course, just 500 metres from the B&B.

Hlíð Ferðaþjónusta is a complex of accommodation on the northern shore of lake Mývatn, right beneath the airport. We are situated about one kilometer away from the lakeside, in the middle of a 300 years old lava field and with a fantastic view over the lake. We offer: 🚍campground. The electricity is accessible and warm showers are free of charge for guests. 🛏 sleeping bag accommodation or Family Rooms with bedlinen included in our Hostel, 🥞 Bed&Breakfast option, 🏠 fully equipped summerhouses with a wonderful view over the lava field. You can rent bikes for either one day or ½ a day. Maps with hiking and bike routes are available from our service center. A wonderfully scenic 37 km long country road runs around the lake, ideal for biking. You can book a riding tour on an Icelandic horse with us and we will take you through the stunning surroundings of lake Mývatn, ranging from one and up to several hours.

Double rooms with private bathroom We offer hotel-accommodation in nine double rooms with made up beds and private bathrooms, breakfast is included. The rooms are in three buildings in a cluster. Two of the buildings have four bedrooms and the third building has one bedroom and a breakfast room. The rooms are small (12m2) but cosy and with all basic facilities. The paved area between the houses offers an excellent site to relax outdoors with garden chairs and tables. The breakfast room is available as a living room during the day or at night.
