Hello traveller! My name is Umberto, I was born and raised in Palermo, and I am 27 years old. After a long time, I have managed to set up this family flat acquired by my grandfather when I was born and for a long time closed and uninhabited. The spirit with which I furnished and arranged it was to create a place to meet, exchange and share. A place to host people passing through here in Palermo, offering them a tidy, clean, efficient and comfortable space that would allow them to study, work or simply enjoy a holiday in one of the most beautiful and special places in the Mediterranean. I am a photographer and visual artist, I love travelling and discovering, and I have a very curious soul. This is why I decided to open my home to those with a kindred spirit, offering one of the best qualities that distinguishes our land, namely hospitality and a warm welcome. You will be welcome here! 13 Open House, the travellers' house! This space is dedicated to those who love travelling, discovering and learning about the world, for those who want to meet other travellers and share experiences. Immerse yourself in the colourful atmosphere of Ballarò and the historic centre of Palermo! For you a bright and very large room on the edge of the market, in a quiet setting, where everything is at your fingertips. The room is designed for those who are passing through Palermo for work, study or simple pleasure. - The room is in a shared flat. There are four bedrooms in total, one is occupied by me or my sister Giulia, depending on the period. I live between Palermo and Venice, Giulia travels a bit all over Sicily for work. The other three rooms are for travellers, explorers, students or workers from all over the world who want to spend time in one of the most beautiful and unique cities in the Mediterranean. The space is animated by the spirit of sharing and getting to know each other through dialogue, exchange or activities that can be done together, be it a trip to the beach or simply a cup of coffee, but also for those who need an intimate and comfortable place to relax between adventures or work remotely. The house has a kitchen shared with all the guests and equipped with all the necessary tools to prepare any dish! It also has a bathroom and laundry room. The flat is designed to offer independent spaces for guests, with the possibility of sharing moments during meals... after all, food is sharing!

Although very close to the hectic and lively context of the historic Ballarò market, the flat is located in a quiet area, where you can easily park or walk to the nerve centres of the market and the entire historic city centre.
