Property information

Central location in the Castello district, 30 meters from the Duomo. Ideal for walking tours in the museum citadel. The area is quiet and with little traffic. We are inside the medieval quarter, this means narrow and not very bright streets, furthermore the location is in the highest part of the city. If your visit is just for a quick overnight stay this is probably not the best solution. If, on the other hand, you like an attractive historical context and don't mind spending a few more minutes to get there, here you will find a charming and peaceful environment.

Neighbourhood information

Starting from Piazza Costituzione we find the imposing bastion of Saint Remy, which takes its name from the first viceroy. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view over the entire city and the port. Following the fourteenth-century Tower of San Pancrazio, and that of the Elephant, then continuing to Piazza Castello where we find the cathedral of Santa Maria and the Palazzo Viceregio, of Aragonese origin. In the Citadel of Museums we will find the National Art Gallery, the Archaeological and Oriental Art Museum as well as the Exhibition of anatomical waxes by Clemente Susini. In Stampace you can visit the ancient Roman amphitheater of which the pits for the beasts, the bleachers and the podium remain, and the remains of the Villa di Tigellio.
