The 4-star Starhotels Excelsior is opposite Bologna Train Station and the airport bus terminal. It offers free WiFi throughout, modern interiors, a gourmet restaurant and a free gym. The Bologna Exhibition Centre is 2 km away. Rooms are elegant and spacious, with carpeted or wood floors and neutral colour schemes. All air conditioned, they come with tea and coffee-making facilities and a TV with satellite channels. Fondente Bar offers hot and cold drinks throughout the day and free newspapers. A full American breakfast is available daily. The Avorio restaurant offers a selection of traditional local dishes, or guests can grab a drink at the on-site Fondente Bar. This Starhotels Excelsior is next to the gardens of Parco della Montagnola and a 15-minute walk from Bologna Cathedral and the central square of Piazza Maggiore.
