The whole experience was great. Loved the pieces of art all around the place especially in the washrooms. We enjoyed the jacuzzi after a tired day of shopping. The traditional Japanese breakfast was fresh and tasty and worth the price. Everything...

This was the second time we stayed here. The previous time was before covid and we decided then that, if we should come back to Tokyo, we'd try to book a room here again. The rooms are very small but super clean. The (shared) showers were small...

Andon Ryokan was in a wonderfully quiet part of Tokyo. In fact it was silent after 9pm which made for an excellent sleep for jet-lagged travellers. The breakfast was superb and they even catered for my dietary needs (diabetic low carb).

Lovely ryokan run by a very nice lady who takes good care of it. It’s very clean: shared spaces are thoroughly cleaned everyday and it’s very pleasant. The access to the jacuzzi is really great. You can relax before or after a long day of walking....

Company information

My hobby is traveling all over Japan and always stopping by antique shops to collect rare, cute and nostalgic items. While working as a lubricant for customers from all over the world and from all over Japan, I would like to create a good relationship with the awareness of "connecting" to everything. I also love cooking. I would like customers to enjoy Ishii familia Japanese home made foods.Although it is a small room, I hope that you can have a wonderful encounter with a delicious meal at the antique cafe and bar "Fukuandon".

Property information

My hobbies are traveling, collecting antiques and cooking, so please enjoy the rare things in the museum throughout the four seasons. I was born in Tokyo and Dad used to be an eel restaurant and I helped him from a child so I make Tokyo Japanese Ishii familia foods every days. On February 4, 2020, we opened the antique teahouse "Fukuando". The interior also incorporates your favorite old materials, making it a more enjoyable space. The tableware also uses old vessels collected from all over Japan, so you can feel some nostalgia. We provide breakfast and dinner, and at the nearby Adachi market, we purchase seasonal fish and vegetables, so that customers can feel the four seasons of food. There are also local people, so I hope you will enjoy drinking and eating as a place to interact in the downtown area.

Neighbourhood information

The area around Andon Ryokan still retains the color of downtown, and the closest station is Minowabashi Station, one of the two Toden trains remaining in Tokyo, and Minowa Station on the Toei Hibiya Line (five minutes on foot). There is also a 15-minute walk from JR Joban Line and Tsukuba Express "Minamisenju" station. It takes 10 minutes by bus to Sensoji "Kaminarimon-mae" and 30 minutes if there is one, and the nearest tourist spots are "Jokanji Temple", "Higuchi Ichiyo Memorial Museum", "Yoshiwara Omon", "Tobifudo" and "Otori Shrine". There is. For those who have conquered all of the major spots in Tokyo, we recommend the downtown where the atmosphere of Edo still remains, the town where Higuchi Ichiyo spent, the town where Shotaro Ikenami was the subject, as a second destination.
