Kamuroan is an inn that is limited to two groups per day. The Deluxe Japanese style room on the first floor can accommodate 2 to 5 people. However, this site allows reservations for up to 2 people. In addition, the Superior Japanese Style room on the 2nd floor can only accommodate 1 person. Could you tell us know your estimated time of arrival? Check-in starts at 16:00, check-in ends at 21:00. Of course, If you arrive before check-in time, I'll take your luggage for you, so please do not worry. Japanese traditional "Sukiya-zukuri's house Kamuroan" Japanese Traditional house built in a way of going through the humid and hot summer of more comfortably has some characters unique to Japanese old architecture that many gaps exist all over the interior space and the air tightness is poor. Of course, Your room and hallway have equipped with heating and air conditioning system. The Deluxe room is a 16-tatami room consisting of an 8-tatami living room with tatami mats, which is rooted in Japanese life, and an 8-tatami bedroom with the same tatami mats. There is a wash basin with a water heater in the hallway of the room. The single-person room is located on the second floor, and has 8 tatami mats rooted in Japanese life, and incorporates the elements of a tea room. The bedding is not a bed, but single futons. And you will sleep on a futon. Leaving the room, there is a washstand with a water heater next to it and there is a toilet at the end of the corridor. The private family bath is located on the first floor, and a separate shower room that was newly installed due to the high demand from foreign tourists. Kamuroan's private family baths are not hot springs. You can use the shower only, but you can also fill the bathtub with hot water and take a bath. In Japanese houses, usually bathroom and toilet are separated. There is a free drink corner in the hallway on the first floor, with drinking cups, electric kettles, and refrigerators.
If you come to Kamuroan, please relax and feel like you are in your own home or your relatives' home in Japan. In the dining room, you will be able to have a pleasant conversation with Okami-san. Here is one of the reviews from our customers. It's probably more persuasive than what Okami-san says. The best parts of our stay (and one of the best parts of our trip to Kyoto in general) were the delicious food (we LOVE the "Kamuroan-style") and the extremely kind and welcoming hosts. Our goal in coming to Japan was to talk with Japanese people and learn about the culture, and okami-san went above and beyond to help us achieve this goal. She shared a wealth of information about Japanese customs, and had excellent recommendations to guide our sightseeing. Learning to make matcha and how to politely enjoy it was the cherry on top of an amazing experience. I hope you will be happy that you get to experience the wonderful traditional cultures of Japan.
