About this property
Renovated in 2014, Kazeya overlooks the majestic Hida mountain range, and offers public and private hot spring-baths. The quiet ryokan features authentic Japanese architecture, spacious rooms with a Japanese interior and free WiFi, while facilities include a garden and free-use bicycles. Free parking is on site. Guests at Kazeya can unwind in public hot-spring baths or a hot public bath, while 3 types of private hot-spring are also available free of charge. Massages can be arranged. The ryokan offers luggage storage, and it has drinks vending machines. Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and either Western beds or Japanese futon bedding. All rooms offer garden and mountain views, and come with a private bathroom. They’re fitted with a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and a safe. Kazeya is a 10-minute drive from the Shin-Hodaka Ropeway Station, and a 1-hour drive from Takayama Station. The property is a 2-minute walk from bus stop Shin-Hodaka Onsenguchi. A one-dish dinner is available upon request, which will be complemented by several side dishes. Although the main dish is selected by the chef, guests can order hida-beef as their main at an extra cost. Guests can also choose to reserve a hida-beef full course meal at a charge.

Please note this property is located in Okuhida Hot Spring Villages. Guests will need to take a bus from JR Takayama Station.
Guests arriving after 18:00 must inform the property directly in advance via email or phone. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.
Please note that the property is not staffed after 20:00 and guests who do not contact the property in advance will not be able to to check-in after this time.
Please note that there are no restaurants, convenience stores or supermarkets around the hotel. Guests are kindly advised to dine in the city centre or to bring take-out meals to the hotel.
Please note, as the property is located in the mountains, there may be some insects such as Pentatomoidea, or shield bugs nearby. The shield bugs can cause an odor if agitated.
From Takayama Bus Terminal platform 5, take the bus bound for Shinhotaka Ropeway, and get off at Shinhotaka Onsen-guchi Bus Stop. Once you get off, walk in the same direction as the bus along the road for 5-minutes. The trip will take approximately 90-minutes.
Bus departs Takayama Bus Terminal platform 5 at: 07:00, 07:40, 08:40, 09:40, 10:40, 11:40, 12:40, 13:40, 14:40, 15:40, 16:40, 17:40, 18:40. The last bus departs at 18:40.

Guests are advised to drive four-wheel drive vehicles with studless tires, or have their vehicle tires chained to reach the property in winter during November until April.
