Situated in the centre of the Kurokawa Onsen Area and boasting a total of 8 indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, Nanjoen offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning/heating facilities, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box. The seating area is furnished with a low table and seating cushions, and comes with an electric kettle and a green tea set. Yukata robes and free toiletries are also provided. Bathrooms are shared with other guests. At Nanjoen Ryokan, guests can relax in the sauna, use the free shuttle service to/from Kurokawa Onsen Bus Stop or purchase souvenirs at the gift shop. Vending machines and free parking can also be found on site. A Japanese-style set menu, featuring fresh local produces, is served for breakfast and dinner. Dinner and breakfast will be served in the dining area. Both Fukuoka Airport and Kumamoto Airport are a 2.5-hour bus ride away, while JR Hakata Station is a 3-hour bus ride from the property.
