Hello. I live near this inn with my wife and dog. I'm originally from Kamakura, near Hiratsuka. I love soccer and dogs, and I support the J-League team Shonan Bellmare. This inn, which was renovated from an old house, is called Tsubamekitaru. Japan has four seasons, and you can enjoy different plants, flowers, and birds in each season. Tsubamekitaru (the end of the black bird season) is around early April, when swallows return from the warm Southeast Asia across the distant sea. Hiratsuka is easily accessible from Kamakura, Odawara, and Hakone, and can be reached by train in about 30 minutes from Yokohama, and in 60 minutes from Shibuya and Shinjuku. It is a place rich in nature, with mountains, sea, and rivers, and flourished as a post town during the Edo period. The sidewalk leading to the beach at the south exit of Hiratsuka Station, where the inn is located, is very wide and perfect for a walk. The area around the inn is also quiet and comfortable.
