First opened in 1911 and recently renovated in March 2019, Yamadaya Ryokan offers a traditional calm Japanese-style accommodation with a public bath with views of the garden and free WiFi in Kyoto, just a 5-minute walk from Higashi Honganji Temple and a 10-minute walk to JR Kyoto Station. Featuring local Kyoto ingredients and organic Koshihikari-rice, guests can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine for an additional fee on site. Kyoto-style Japanese breakfast can be ordered if requested in advance, at an additional charge. Dinner and breakfast is served in the another private room or the banquet hall. With a wine cellar and on-site sommelier and kikizakeshi sake expert, an array of wine, Japanese sake, craft beer and champagne is available at the ryokan to pair with the cuisine.
