Welcome to Amuura Beach Hotel in Beruwala, our little paradise right on the beach! Here, we don't just offer accommodation; it's more of a home where guests can experience the sound of waves, the gentle breeze of the ocean, and forge new friendships. Amuura is about community, and our goal is to bring people together and create lasting memories, whether over a cozy dinner or a card game.
The rooms at Amuura Beach Hotel are designed in antique Singhalese style. Each room comes with a safe, a mosquito net, and a comfortable bed for a restful sleep. The spacious bath/spa room with separate showercabins is shared by all 5 rooms.
The days start on our wonderful terrace with a breakfast that not only indulges the stomach but also the senses. A small omelet, crispy bread, and fresh fruits - that's the foundation. But at Amuura, every breakfast is a surprise with daily changing highlights, whether it's hearty porridge or a small smoothie bowl.
In our little paradise, the focus isn't just on the rooms. Our garden with hammocks invites you to linger, the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the sea, and on the beach, a gentle breeze will caress your hair. It's more than just a stay – it's an experience.
Want to explore the surroundings? Explore Barberyn Island, borrow our free snorkel masks, enjoy a relaxed mangrove tour on the Bentota River, or embark on a spiritual journey from temple to mosque.
Our hotel is just 79 km from Colombo International Airport. Beruwala railway station is only 2 minutes away by tuk-tuk or car.

The Amuura Beach House is the ideal hideaway near the airport if you want to avoid crowded places like Negombo or Colombo. Located in a local area, you have an almost private beach to relax and unwind.
There are many exciting things to see in the surrounding area, such as the beautiful landscaped gardens of Goffrey (famous architect) and Bewis Bawa (Lunuganga and Brief Garden), as well as the fishing harbors.
There are some shops down the road (about 500m) where you can buy everyday needs and snacks. Not far away is a small spice mill where you can get fresh and high-quality spices at reasonable prices. Supermarkets, banks, etc. are in the town of Beruwala (about 1.5 km away). If you want to go out, there are restaurants and cafes on Moragalla Beach (1.5 km south).
Here are some more things you can do in our area:
You can take nice snorkeling trips to the Lighthouse Island, which you can see from our house. Not far from us, you can do all kinds of water sports and scuba diving. Surfing is possible at Moragalla and Bentota Beach (about 1.5 km & 7 km away). You can do river safaris and see some wild animals on the Bentota River. On Mondays, there is a market in the nearby town where you can find all the fruits and vegetables Sri Lanka has to offer.
