Ardeen Villa, located in Ranna, Tangalle has direct access to the Kahandamodara beach 30 meters away. Built on one acre of prime beachfront land it has two large 42 sqm bedrooms with sea view and a family suite of 45 sqm. All rooms have AC and ensuites. The double rooms each have a king bed for 2. The family suite can accommodate up to 4 guests, ideally 2 kids and parents. The rooms lead to a large dining and lounge area with an indoor courtyard. There is a separate large games or entertainment room for the kids to relax. The swimming pool is located 15 meters away. On a full moon night turtles may be seen swimming ashore to lay their eggs outside the villa. Guests carry back fond memories of this paradise making your stay unforgettable. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with a manicured lawn, fragrant frangipani, water lilies, mango and coconut trees and rare natural fauna and vegetation make it a hidden gem ensconced midst the serenity of nature. The lounge area provides a magnificent view of the ocean and pool. Meals can be taken indoors or outside in the cabana right on the beach or in the cabana near the BBQ. The furniture is traditional teak wood with the walls adorned with original paintings of budding local artists. The staff quarters is 20 metres away on the premises. Guests staying 7 nights get a ( a) free airport pick up OR drop off travelling together (b) option of buying their own groceries using the services of the chef free of charge. Where this option is used the villa does not provide the free breakfast except the breakfast on the day after arrival. We arrange tours and transportation to all the places of interest. The entire property is fenced with a private driveway 50 meters long from the main road.

Lunch and dinner is priced from USD 8-14 per person per meal with vegetarian, kids, light lunches, snacks, soups, salads and deserts priced at USD 4-8. Breakfast is included in the room rates. The villa is ideal for one or two families or groups of 6. If required, two extra single beds can be provided in the family room. A fee of USD 30 per extra bed is payable. The villa is for the sole use of the resident guests. We do not sell liquor but guests can bring their own supplies for consumption. No charge for corkage. We recommend you bring your own favorite spirits and wines as they might not be readily available as well as more expensive. Sri Lankan beer and Rockland Gin are made in Sri Lanka and very popular with our guests. Our staff are friendly but always respect your privacy. We have a resident manager on site who is available to assist you with your needs. If you need assistance with transport to the many attractions in the area, we arrange it with outside transport owners with special rates which you can avail yourself of. For those who want to be active inhouse, volleyball, beachball, badminton, angling, kite flying, walking tours, cycling, boat rides, fishing trips, canoeing, swimming, chess, card games and other kids games will keep you busy. A wash only laundry service is available. Guests do their own ironing.

For nature lovers there are many interesting places to visit. One can take a boat ride at the popular Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary which is 3 kilometres away or the Kahandamodara lagoon 400 meter from the villa which is the natural habitat of over 60 species of birds. The lagoon also has monkeys, rock squirrels, polecats, mongoose, moose deer and other small mammals that have made it their home. Day trips to the two largest and most famous game reserves, Yala and UdaWalawe can be undertaken from the villa. A drive to Yala takes 2 hours and Udawalawe 80 minutes where elephant, leopard, bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles and other mammals and bird life can be sighted. The famous Bundala Bird Sanctuary is a 80 minute drive. Dolphin and whale watching is popular and transport can be arranged for a half day trip to these locations. The UNESCO listed Heritage City of Galle can be reached within an hour. There are a number of surf and bathing beaches nearby in Mawella, Polhena, Mirissa, Dikwella and Weligama and Ahangama. Go to Unawatunne beach and swim with the turtles. Boat rides and fishing trips of interest to anglers are arranged from the Kalametiya Fisheries Harbour. The eighteen hole International Golf Resort is a 20 minute drive. Turtle beach is a 15 minute drive where turtles are seen laying their eggs on the beach. A day trip ( 2.5 hours) to the hill town of Ella famous for its waterfalls, tea plantations, nine arch railway bridge, trekking to Little Adams Peak and exploring the mountains and rolling valleys is one of the highlights of your stay. We provide free pick for stays of 7 nights for groups travelling together. For stays of10 nights we provide free pick up AND drop off to the airport. For less than 7 nights stays pick up or drop off can be arranged at rates to be arranged.
