Arhimser located in Kahandamodara beach, Ranna, Tangalle is spacious,(500 sq meters,) airy, high ceilinged, light filled with four large AC bedrooms and sitting and dining areas overlooking the beach. An undercover open veranda overlooks the pool and ocean 20 meters away. Located on an acre of prime beachfront, the landscaped gardens and lawn with exotic tropical plants and trees provide a glorious view of the ocean. For wild life lovers, the country's two largest game reserves, Yala and Udawalawe, where leopard, elephant, bear and other animals roam is a half or day trip. Short trips are arranged to the best known bird sanctuaries as well as for dolphin/whale sightings, surfing, snorkeling, angling, diving, swimming with the turtles and golfing at the18 hole international golf course 20 kms away. The UNESCO listed Heritage City of Galle is an hour's ride and a two hour trip takes you to the popular hill town of Ella, famous for its water falls, cool climate, tea plantations and rolling mountains with amazing walking treks. We provide FREE pick up or drop from the International airport for stays of 7 nights for guests arriving together. For lesser stays transportation is arranged at rates to be agreed. For stays over 10 nights FREE pick up AND drop off provided. 7 night stayers have the option of (a) buying their own groceries using the services of the chef free of charge. Where this option is used the villa does not provide free breakfast except the first breakfast after arrival. (b) 7 night stayers who order their meals off the menu get a10% discount. (c) these guests also get a free boat tour with transport to the famous Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary and a free wash only laundry service. We arrange tours and transport for excursions. For kids, there are many fun games including beachball, volleyball, badminton, carrom, chess, cards, jigsaw puzzles, fishing, trekking, cycling, bird watching etc., A 30 KVA auto switchover generator is installed for power back up.
The meaning of Arhimser is kindness and care to all things living, plant, animal or human. Our staff and management are committed to ensuring that guests are treated with respect, kindness and care during their stay with us. Staff at all times tirelessly give their best to ensure that guests needs and requirements are catered to. Our staff assist with arranging road transportation and accommodating special meal requests, if advance notice is given. We do not get a commission from any of the transport service providers recommended and you can negotiate prices. We are a fully serviced beach villa with daily cleaning services. We have excellent chefs and you can order your meals both western and local off the menu. Breakfast is included in the room rate and lunches and dinners are provided around an average cost of USD 11 per meal per person with light lunches, snack, soups, salads, entrees and deserts available around USD 4-6. Vegetarian meals are also available. We do not sell spirits but guests can bring their own supplies for consumption at the villa at no extra cost. The villa is exclusively for the use of the residents and we do not allow outsiders to use our facilities. For health and safety reasons we do not allow food from outside to be consumed on the premises, but there are cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood where meals can be consumed. We accept Mastercard or Visa credit cards as well as USD and LKR currency notes. A wash only laundry service is available and guests can do their own ironing. A small charge applies for this service except for 7 night stayers where this service is free.
The largest game reserves in Sri Lanka, Uda Walawe and Yala are about a 90-120 minute drive from the villa. An eighteen hole golf at the Shangri La Hotel is a 30 minute drive. There are plenty of surf beaches in the neighborhood as well as bays where sea bathing is safe during most of the year. The beach outside the villa is also safe to swim when the sea is calm. There are a couple of bays nearby where swimming is possible throughout the year. The popular and well known Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is a 10 minute drive and Bundala Bird Sanctuary a 60 minute drive. A visit to the local market, participate in assisting the fishermen pulling their nets with their day's catch and watch the fishermen catching prawns at dusk in the lagoon 100 meters away. Lagoon prawns, crabs and lobster dishes can be prepared if advance notice is given. We have secured special rates for vehicles from outside service suppliers for day trips to the Galle Heritage site, the game reserves, Mirissa and Dickwella for whale and dolphin sighting and the surf beaches in the neighborhood. Walking tours and boat trips to the lagoon for bird watching can also be arranged. A walk on the beach on a full moon night may see turtles laying their eggs on shore. The popular hill town of Ella with its 9 arch railway bridge, the Ravana waterfalls, the tea plantations and the walking treks through the rolling mountains and valleys with its magnificent fauna and flora is a day trip. Turtle beach is a short distance away from the villa and there are other beaches within close access like Hiriketiya and Unawathune where one can swim with the turtles. The famous Katharagama religious festival is held in August where devotees from all over the island participate in the various rituals including fire walking, dancing to the rhythm of the drums and invoking the blessings of the Gods.
