Khomba Beach House is a beautifully tranquil getaway on the Wild West Coast of Sri Lanka. You'll be looked after by your exclusive Chef, House Boy, Gardeners and a Manager dedicated just to you. This two bedroom Villa has an additional room which is ideal for children. You can leave from the Villa's private beach to visit amazing displays by super pods of dolphins, or go whale watching, snorkel off the reef or enjoy a fishing trip. The Villa is within easy reach of the stunning Wilpattu National park and the cultural triangle. Try windsurfing or kite surfing at one of Asia's most incredible locations the Kalpatya Bay. Enjoy the wide range of swimming pools at any of the three neighbouring resorts, before retiring back to Khomba and its sensational cuisine. With a massive veranda, the villa sits in six acres of gardens and will be for your own exclusive use. We would urge prospective guests to contact us and discuss making a booking before confirming the reservation on line.
We built Khomba over 10 years ago and with the Manager, Sisira have slowly developed this wonderful piece of land. The six acres of gardens are a horticultural dream featuring a wide range of indigenous species including teak, melons, pineapples, bananas, cashew nuts, pomegranates, jack fruits custard apples and, or course, chillies.
Kalpitya is unadulterated Sri Lanka. Slightly off the beaten track there is minimal tourism. The beaches stretch for miles and you can walk them safely at day or night and you won't be troubled by a single hawker. There'll just be the odd fisherman throwing his nets. Just offshore is a deep water shelf. This gives rise to rich fishing grounds. Daily displays of dolphins can be seen numberings in the 1,000's the bottle nose and spinners can be seen in a private boat which will pick you up from the beach immediately in front of the villa. If you are prepared to venture further out to sea for 15 minutes or so there's a good chance you'll spot migrating whales, minke, blue and many other species use this rich channel. The villa has its own bicycles so you are free to ride the local neighbourhood and see the local community go about its business. We are on great terms with the neighbouring hotels - all of whom establishes at the same time as us. Guests are free to roam between the resorts using any of the three swimming pools within a five minute walk along the beach.
