An ideal time to take a break ; A gorgeous bungalow with architectural value situated on a 1 acre land, surrounded by luscious greenery and an awesome swimming pool for a unforgettable getaway. Fully furnished with 3 very large air-conditioned bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sprawling verandahs. The bungalow itself has beautiful and calming interior decor. You are sure to enjoy the quietness of our Villa and garden. The flora and fauna are just amazing. You will enjoy the birds chirping at sunrise and see a beautiful peacock or a cheeky monkey looking at you from far... Stuart House also offers modern facilities for a comfortable stay. There is total privacy since the huge garden is surrounded by tall trees making it ideal for families, friends or groups. The spacious living rooms are ideal for this. It is also suitable for individuals needing privacy and space. The moonlit night could be gorgeous for those who wish to sit and relax on the swimming pool deck to have dinner. The Villa is also for a bunch of youngsters who wish to 'chill' and have a memorable stay.
We are a family originally from Tangalle now living in Colombo. The bungalow under reference was built by my great grandfather who was a well respected Attorney at Law. Its around 100 years old but absolutely solid because we have been looking after the property and upgrading it constantly. It is one of a kind for the whole District. It was formally called a " Walauwa" and it is the one and only beautifully preserved heritage property in that area.
Located in a very peaceful neighborhood and just a 5 minute walk to beautiful yum beaches and to the town. Located in close proximity to Mulkirigala Rock Temple, Hummanaya Blow Hole, and Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary. Historical and Cultural sites including Tissamaharamaya, Katharagama, and National Parks such as Yala and Udawalawe are about an hours drive away. There are plenty of good restaurants near the beach to have local cuisine, sea food, western etc. also just a few meters away from our Villa there are small shops to get your breakfast like hoppers , strings hoppers and curries which are hygienically prepared by the locals. Less than 100 meters away you will find two good Super markets [ Keells, Food City] to purchase anything you need. 'Pizza Hut' is also nearby for the youngsters who visit our Villa Also the Tangalle Rest House located near the beach which is walking distance from our Villa provides delicious breakfast / lunch/ dinner at very affordable price. We have a staying-in caretaker who can bring you whatever you need from close-by shops. Or arrange tuk-tuk to go to nearby places.
