Marrakech, a most glorious, vibrant and exciting city. Strategically and splendidly set at the foot of the magical Atlas Mountains, it has long been envied as the Jewel in the Crown of Morocco. Visitors staying at Riad Zeitoun Palace with its six ensuite bedrooms and a roof terrace, really enjoy the fact that this is a real home reflecting the interests of its owner Ismaël. The previous ownerwas the famous painter, Norman Douglas Hutchinson. Riad Zeitoun Palace is in a quiet residential area which has an old and honourable history of welcoming incomers. Many people settled here in the XVI Century after expulsions by Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain and it became known as "le Quartier des Andalous". After the Revolution of 1918, it was also home to many Russians, and Muslims, Christians and Jews lived in harmony. The area is studded with interesting things to do and see within walking distance: the Badi Palace which received a British Ambassador from the Court of Elizabeth I at its launch party, the Bahia Palace built by the Grand Vizier Si Moussa in 1860, the Jewish quarter and much more.
