The apartment lies in a 400-year-old townhouse in the heart of Rabat. It is split in 2 apartments, on 1st & 2nd floors. Built in the 1700’s, the house is filled with natural light entering through its large French doors; has typical Maltese balconies on façade & most rooms are characterized with high vaulted ceilings or wooden beams. The first floor is inhabited by myself (Etienne) & my partner. The 2nd floor apartment is reached by a flight of steps directly from main entrance door at street level. There is a fully equipped kitchen & a table for 3 overlooks a small balcony with sunset view. One also finds a comfortable sofa bed. In adjacent room, one finds a king-sized bed & 2 large windows, one of which overlooks the lush roof terrace. This room is also equipped with AC unit & TV. The bathroom consists of a walk-in shower, sink & WC. A washing machine is also available. The selling point to this apartment is the roof-terrace. Surrounded by typical Maltese plants, the terrace itself is sheltered by a wooden pergola overlooking St. Paul’s Parish church. It is the perfect spot to enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner, or simply unwind your day with a prosecco

I am a 46 year old Physics teacher, and I have been teaching for the past 25 years. I have been living in this house since my childhood days with my family. Now, however, I live on the first floor of this house along with my long-time partner, Jonathan. I am a very passionate person and I excise this mostly in two of my main hobbies: cooking and gardening. I also like travelling around the world and getting to know new people, and it is exactly this, which made me start a new venture here, in renting of my apartment space, upstairs.

The house is situated in the very centre of this historical town of Rabat. Although it is in a quaint alley, it is just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday life of this vibrant town. Being only about out 200m away from the Medieval City of Mdina, one can also find many other places of interest which are very close by to my house, such as the Catacombs, Casa Bernard, and the Domus Romana. The Rabat neighbourhood is brought to life with all the small cafes, bars and restaurants which give the same town its charm. Rabat is very accessible, both by car and by public transport. (A bus stop is only 200m down from my house.) Bus Trips to Valletta or the main beaches take approximately 30-40min. Free parking is available along the streets of Rabat. A large parking area (free) is only 150m down the road from my house.
