It was not until I stayed at a local holiday home myself to organise a family reunion that I truly discovered what Gozo has to offer. Being a traveller myself who is always on the lookout for new experiences, I never truly thought to be able to appreciate the local charm with its unique simplicity. As fate would have it, that was the start of something special. the start of hosting. It ignited a new ambition inside me and never stopped since. An ambition to make you and your guests feel the same way; at ease and confident to experience a delightful Gozitan stay in a home away from your home. My aim is to ensure that you receive the very best Gozo experience possible and strive to make your holiday dream come true, being with your own family or friends.

Located on the outskirts of the vibrant Xaghra village next to the iconic view of ‘Calypso Cave’ and very close to the most famous red sandy beach of ‘Ramla’. ‘SiKu Holiday Home’ is an elegant and contemporary Gozitan holiday rental which makes it perfect to unwind and relax by the pool or enjoying the privacy of a large exterior terrace which offers sunbathing spots, shaded seating area and an outdoor dining area equipped with a charcoal grill and an olive-tree garden. Once inside, the elegant greyish décor, welcomes you to a large open plan lounge and dining area complimented with a fully equipped and modern kitchen. This ground floor apartment comprises of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two bedrooms consist of a king-sized bed each and one also has a private en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The single bedroom consists of two single beds and another en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. A common full bathroom with bath/shower combined, toilet and sink and an additional 2 folding beds make this holiday rental the perfect hub for your holiday in Gozo.

Neighbourhood information

Make it a point to go out and enjoy a walk with beautiful views from various viewpoints around the village. The village name of ‘Ix-Xaghra’, is derived from Arabic and means ‘wilderness’. It is located on a lengthy stretch of high ground northeast of the capital town of Victoria, encircled by the beautiful bays of Ramla, Għajn Barrani and Marsalforn. The valleys of Ramla, Ta’ l-Għejjun and Marsalforn caress this lovely village and give you access to lovely country walks, biking/quad-biking or even horse-riding. The famous bay of Ramla, assumed by most as the island’s best beach, is one of the must-dos when visiting Gozo. This beach is very popular for swimming and snorkeling while the golden coloured sand is a haven for sunbathers. Another popular tourist area which is also close and easily accessed by public transport is Marsalforn Bay. This bay is a popular base for diving enthusiasts, who can choose from a variety of diving schools and dive sites and is well served with nice restaurants and bars by the sea. Nestled in the heart of the village lie some of the world’s oldest free-standing monuments – the megalithic temples of Ggantija.
