My name is Ludmilla. I am German living in Bhaktapur since 1979. The guesthouse has been designed by my husband Goetz Hagmueller, also the architect of the Patan Museum and Garden of Dreams in Kathmandu. The guesthouse was opened in 2013 with only two rooms, it now has four double rooms (two with balcony). Laxman, who has been working with us since more than 30 years, is the caretaker of the guesthouse and will take care of all your needs. I check in regularly that everything is in perfect order.

Maklumat penginapan

Located on a quiet, traffic-free square, in the middle of the historic town of Bhaktapur, Milla Guesthouse is a 5 minute walk from the World Heritage Site of Dattatraya Square. It has four bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 9 persons. As a home-away-from home refuge, the guesthouse has been designed by Götz Hagmüller, the architect of the Patan Museum and the Garden of Dreams in Kathmandu. Balancing modern and traditional architecture, it is built in brick with wooden ceilings, timber floors in the bedrooms and with terracotta tile-floors in the rest of the house. All the furniture was designed by the architect and made by local craftsmen. The terracotta tiles are handmade in Bhaktapur. Guests can enjoy a breakfast-sitting room with kitchen and south-facing terrace on the top floor, as well as a family kitchen with breakfast-sitting and terrace, and a small south-facing terrace.
