Our home is very centrally and conveniently located, close to motorways, trains and buses. It is entirely possible to get by bus and train to and from the airport. Uber from the airport is about a 25 minute ride. The Remuera train station on the Southern Line and bus stop are within a couple minutes of walking. The train will take you to the city and the ferry terminal in about 10 minutes, or to Greenlane to Greenlane hospital, and further. Newmarket is 15 minute walk or 1 stop on the train – this has some of the best restaurants in Auckland, as well as funky cheap eats, movies, arcades, and Westfield Newmarket is the largest and most luxury mall in New Zealand, complete with rooftop dining. More locally, within a few minutes walk there is a variety of cafes, restaurants and takeaways – everything from Fish and Chips to Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, Thai and even Traditional Chinese Hot Pot. In the local area you will enjoy some fantastic walks and great exercise for your family – find yourself at the top of old volcanoes Mount Hobson and Mount St John, with 360 degree views of Auckland and across the sea to Rangitoto. A little further, within 5 minutes drive lies Cornwall Park – the jewel of Auckland with kilometers of trails through giant trees and barns where your family can enjoy a picnic, look at the farm animals and birds, or treat yourself at the park café or ice cream kiosk. You can also walk up the famous One Tree Hill here and visit the Observatory. There are nature walks and hikes in the most incredible locations only a short drive away. We can also advise you on the best swimming beaches, kayaking and cycling. Great swimming is only 15 minutes drive away.
