Trounson Park is just 3 Km up the road with a delightful boardwalk through the bush and some spectacular kauri trees. It is possible to take a guided night walk here and possibly see a kiwi in the wild. Kai Iwi lakes is only 20 km away. Tane Mahuta. The giant kauri tree over 2000 years old is just 20 minutes away and a must see if you are passing
